In fiscal year 2002, 5,495 patients were provided care in this program with an average daily census of 3,772 veterans in 47 State homes. In fiscal year 2003, it is estimated that 5,605 patients will be provided care with an average daily census of 4,323. In fiscal year 2004, it is estimated that 5,773 patients will be treated with an average daily census of 4,389.
